FYI and District News
- The Alice and Wonderland performance at DB is now full and LCC and LCF will be going. LCE, I am sorry, they filled up but would welcome you for another show.
- We have recommended a new IA for LCD, but have not heard any word on acceptance yet.
- We will host the "Back the Blue" day in KCS on Tuesday. Please expect officers to walkthrough the school. We will have a table in the lobby with a banner, basket of card, and basket of treats.
- If your team has not uploaded (individually) your VIF goals-this is a must do right away. We have our next meeting coming up soon for the team and I want to be able to speak to this. Sue is working on a yearlong plan and this will be presented at Leadership team meeting on Thursday. GLobal Schools team-Don't forget to request a half day (PM) on November 15.
- After reviewing the user totals on Edulastic, very few of you have been utilizing this new tool. Please see shasta or Sue if you would like suggestions on how to integrate this for weekly quizzes, scorable assignments or unit tests.

- Kylie Lackey is now Kylie Southerland -beautiful fall wedding last weekend.
- Great news from Charlotte Safewright, previous GWES teacher, she will not need chemotherapy after her surgery to remove breast cancer. Great news!
- Keep Billie Begley in mind as she prepares for knee surgery on November 17th. We will have an interim with us until the winter break. Any suggestions for the position are welcome.
- Thank you to our PTA for a great run/walk-a-thon AND the great soup and salad luncheon
- Thanks to our RATS team for helping with the run'/walk-a-thon
- Thanks to all classes who are preparing cards/banners and to Michelle for purchasing treats for the Back the Blue day.
- Thanks to our safety patrol for their leadership. I want to encourage them to greet adults and children in the hallway. Their eye contact, words and actions are great elements of their leadership.
- Thanks to all teachers for great RTI data conferences. PLEASE send your celebrate, recognize, consider forms to Sue and me by email. These are very handy when referring children.
- From Mrs. Hincke: Thanks to all staff who donated to the family of fourth grader Christopher Nargang, who lost his mother last week. We raised $250. I'm in awe of your generosity.

* Finalized a survey to be sent out to the district regarding VIF Global. The hope is that others will complete the survey so that we can begin creating a contact list.
