Two weeks left in Term 3
We are so proud of our Mustangs showing off their talents last week in the Assembly, Extravaganza and at Wrestling State Championships along with the fun time at Jr Prom.
Students, let's give it your best as our staff works hard to support you to master concepts and be prepared for the term 3 final exams.
Reach out if you need anything.
Go Mustangs!
#OneTrail
Join us for the always incredible: Impulse Mainstage: March 2nd, 3rd and 4th
Let's Keep Going Strong Together!
Student needs help or has a conflict?
- refer students in "drama" or in "need" to conflict mediation
- seek help by connecting with counselors or admin as needed
Students can self refer to conflict mediation as well.
Fill out this form for conflict mediation: google form
Remind students of our Anonymous Incident Reporting system on our website. It allows for anonymous reporting of bullying, self harm, violence, harassment and more. If the person allows us, we can also communicate two way to get additional details while they still remain anonymous if they choose.
If you see something, hear something or know something...say something!
We need your help to keep our campus safe and clean
There has been an increase in graffiti and reports of issues in bathrooms and the lockerrooms.
While staff continues to be proactive and work to make it the best it can be, we know that some of our students know what is going on and just don't want to "snitch".
Yet, we ALL want safety and a positive environment to be able to focus solely on education and the positive friendships and relationships we have on campus.
So, we need your help.
If you know of something, please fill out the anonymous incident report on our website - mths.egusd.net
Families, please do not escalate issues but rather work with your student to talk to adults on campus and/or submit a report yourself.
We are all in this together and appreciate your support and partnership so that ALL of our students can reach their potential.
Bathroom and Hallpass policy:
- Teachers instruct bell to bell to all students to make the most of instructional time to help our students. Students maximize instructional time and actively participate after arriving on time to class bell to bell.
- Teachers only issue one pass at a time to one student at a time.
- All students must have the proper pass or they will be returned to class.
- Students must ask permission before signing out on the restroom log which will be collected by admin and used to see who may be abusing privileges. Admin will work with families as these issues are discovered - students may be issued consequences
- Students must return to class with the pass and must be back in class quickly for less missed instruction
- Upon quick return to class, the student must sign back in and return the pass to the teacher
- No passes first 15 nor last 15 minutes
- Bathrooms will be closed for cleaning and restocking at those times
- Best practices - use the restroom during passing and be on way to class by the 3 minute bell. This will help you do better in class, give us more chance to support your goals and the class will have less interruptions.
Families, please discuss this with your students.
Thank you to our students for doing your part to be in class participating in learning and to our families for your support for your students' success.
