Massachusetts government is provided by the constitution of the commonwealth.The government of the state of Rhode Island is from a lot of sources.RELIGION-The Middle Colonies were made up of Quakers,Catholics,Lutherans,and a few Jews.The Southern Colonies had about the same religions with the exception of Baptists and Anglicans.The New England Colonies were all Puritans.The Great Awakening was a series of religious revivals that swept over the 13 Colonies.The Quakers called themselves "Friends" or The Society of Friends.CULTURE-The first English emigrants that would become known as the New England Colonies were a small group of Puritan Separatist, later called the Pilgrims, who arrived in Plymouth in 1620. When colonists arrived in America they planted familiar crops from Europe and raised domestic animals for meat that include sheep, cattle, pigs, and chickens. The familiar types of food such as beef, pork, and mutton were supplemented with produce that was available in the New World. The 13 colonies did for entertainment was horse races, dances, musicals, plays, boxing, gambling, chess, checkers, hunting, square dancing, dinners, and a few other things. ECONOMICS-The colonies traded slaves for money.colonies was difficult due TO the poor soil,cold climate.the In New Hampshire and social life in New Hampshire revolved around sawmills,shipyards,merchant’s warehouse,and established village and town centers.New Hampshire main exports is lamber,fish,masts for the royal navy and and turpentine.Massachusette farming was difficultt in the Massachusetts bay colony so people found othermeans of a living by establishing a manufacturing base and trade.the economy of Rhode island was mixed than in the other new england colonies
