Field Day-Tuesday, June 8
Although we appreciate all your support, we are not allowing spectators at the event this year. We thank you for your understanding as we continue to implement safety precautions.
Virtual students may attend field day and will be participating with their homerooms. Please make sure to let your child's teacher know if your child will be attending.
Fifth Grade Promotion Parade
Fifth Grade Promotion Parade-June 10th
We will be celebrating our fifth grade students with our Fifth Grade Promotion Parade on Thursday, June 10. Fifth grade teachers will be communicating more details. We are asking that families do not line up for the parade before 9:30 am because of school's arrival time. Also, we are asking that siblings remain in school with their classes to cheer on all fifth grade students as they travel through the parade.
The 2021 Yearbook Has Arrived
Students who ordered their yearbooks online will receive them this week. If you haven't ordered one yet, there are a handful of yearbooks available to purchase for just $15. The yearbooks will go fast, so please email michelle@jswd.com if you are interested.
Virtual students who need to pick up their yearbooks can do so on Tuesday, June 8th from 3 until 6pm under the tent on the playground. Please email Michelle Witkowski (michelle@jswd,com) with questions.
Any virtual student who hasn't yet picked up their free book from the Scholastic Book Fair can do so now. They are available in the office during school hours or on Tuesday, June 8th from 3 until 6pm under the tent in the playground.
The Need for Upcycle Materials-Please Help
Coatesville Area School District is kicking off an initiative to collect upcycle materials to support programs that provide summer school students opportunities to create inventions and build prototypes.
We need everybody’s help. Send your child on a household scavenger hunt to collect as many clean Upcycle Items as possible. Please send your child to school with the items they found on their scavenger hunt.
UPCYCLE EXAMPLES
• Small/medium boxes, paper towel tubes
• Craft supplies (beads, buttons, fabric, strings)
• Bubble wrap, foam trays, rubber bands
• Miscellaneous paper (construction, magazines, newspapers, etc.)
• Pulleys, springs, strainers, washers
• Unwanted discs, tapes and cases
Please don’t bring:
· Any items used to store food/beverages, batteries, cords, glass, glitter, hangers, liquids, medicine containers, packing peanuts, paint, wire.
· Anything of personal value, as Upcycles are shared between all participants during the program and cannot be returned or assigned to a specific child.
Thank you for your support in creating unique learning opportunities for our students.

Reeceville Retirees: Miss Wesley and Mrs. Bolko
Miss Wesley came to Reeceville from Friendship Elementary and has been a significant asset to the Reeceville family, and especially the fifth grade team.
Mrs. Bolko came to Reeceville from the Gordon Early Literacy Center. Mrs. Bolko's positivity has been infectious.
Both Miss Wesley and Mrs. Bolko will be missed in our Reeceville family. We wish Miss Wesley and Mrs. Bolko the best of luck in all their future endeavors.
