Now Open: Enrollment for RMES's YMCA Before and After School Program (BASP)

Some info about BASP:

  • AM care begins at 7am (we dismiss the kids when it's time to go to school)
  • PM care runs until 6pm
  • Preferential pricing is given to YMCA members (it is recommended to open a youth membership, as you will actually save money in the long run) but the program is open to all
  • We focus on our 9 core components: academic enrichment, college and career exploration, 21st century skills, service learning, arts education, leadership development, health and wellness, global learning, and parent and family engagement.
  • Within that framework, families can expect their child(ren) to receive help on homework, complete fun art projects, science experiences, play active games and sports, and make lasting and impactful relationships with their peers and counselors

Part of Parking Lot Closed Through the First Week of May

Starting April 6, the Physical Education Department will begin to use a section of the parking lot for their UPK-5 classes. This unit will go from Tuesday, April 6th- Thursday, May 6.

The parking lot nearest the playground, (closest to the softball field), will be used by the class. There will be tall cones there to block it off. Please be sure to avoid this area.

Boys Lacrosse Intramurals

For those interested in boys lacrosse, Mr. Gross will be supervising lacrosse intramurals after school until 3:15pm on Mondays and Wednesdays. We will be doing some passing, shooting, and other non contact drills. This is a great opportunity to learn, practice, and HAVE FUN!

TIME: After school until 3:15pm, Mondays and Wednesdays

WHERE: Meet in the gym after school. If it is not raining, we will go outside.

EQUIPMENT: Lacrosse stick only. Gloves are also encouraged. I have extra sticks and gloves for those who need them.

TRANSPORTATION: You must have a ride home after intramurals! If you cannot get a ride, there are limited openings on the 2:50pm bus for kids to take. Please reach out to Mr. Gross and Mr. Butt directly if you do not have a ride and would like to take the 2:50 bus home. You must let them know BEFORE intramurals!

This year the Lost & Found has gone virtual. Please check out our post on ParentSquare.

If you recognize an item please send an emal to Missy Nims providing your child's name and we will get the item to your child.

Purchase a Tile and Support Gananda Dollars for Scholars

Have you ever wondered what those tiled walls at the three schools were all about? Gananda Dollars for Scholars started the walls in 1996 as a way to commemorate loved ones, special events, or advertise a business. Each year, the money raised from the sale of Foundations of the Future commemorative tiles funds scholarships to graduating seniors continuing their education. Visit the Gananda website for more information about the Foundations of the Future Tiles and how you can order one.

Amazon Smile

Order from AmazonSmile! Designate Gananda Dollars for Scholars as your charity of choice at no cost to you. Amazon will donate .5% of your purchase. Over $800 has been raised to date! Sign up today!

Did you know that you can start gathering volunteer hours as soon as you leave 8th grade? Just download a volunteer log from the Gananda Dollars for Scholars webpage, and start recording your high school volunteer experience!
