Making Number Talks Matter
Chapter 2 Recap
What a Great Week!
Reading Chapter 2, I was so excited to dig in and talk about the Number Talks we are doing and/or planning to do in our classrooms! Thank you so much to all of the wonderful and thoughtful conversations over the course of the week! If you have not checked out all three of the platforms, please do, the answers to the questions are amazing!
I look forward to sharing our classroom experiences as we move through each of the chapters on operations!

Quick Images: Visualizing Number Combinations
In this Teaching Channel video a Kindergarten class looks at combinations of 8 in a ten frame. Take the time to think about the questions to the right of the video. For older students, I am wondering how we could think about this structure with decimals. Last year, I used the ten frame as a one frame here.
