May 2019 News letter


As we are getting close to the end of the year, please attend all classes so students can be prepared for our end of year show.

Lost & Found:

Please take a look at our mountain of lost and found in the upstairs lounge, any items left after recital we be donated to Good Will.


Please remember May/June tuition is combined and due now. Recital costumes will not be distributed to any family with accounts having an outstanding balances.

Fall 2019-2020:

Everyone should have received a letter mailed to their home with your students recommendations on it. You may login to your parent portal and register your self, or bring the paper in signed and we will take care of it for you ! If you pay for your September & June (2020) tuition by the end of June, you will get 10% off your September Tuition and a free AMDS T-Shirt! (In past years we have combined May & June Tuition, moving forward we are combing September & June Tuition)

Memorial Day:

We are closed MONDAY May 27th Memorial Day - We will open the rest of Memorial Day weekend.

Picture Day:

Picture Day will be held on June 8th & 9th at the studio. Bring your dancer and we will do their hair and make up for them! A link with additional information will be sent out soon. This is a completely optional event.


If you are interested in auditioning for the "Holiday Show" or one of our competitive teams - "Dancers Unlimited", the date for these auditions is Wednesday, June 12 at the Anna Marie Dance Studio. Dancers must be at least 5 years old to audition for either event. A flyer will be e-mailed later with the specific audition times. ***Dancers 7 and older must be registered for summer classes or intensives in order to be cast in the Holiday Show or Company***

Anyone looking for more information on our competitive teams can attend a parent meeting on June 8th in Studio C at 12:00pm (Dancers 5 and Up)

"We've Got You Covered" - We will send a separate recital ONLY news letter in the coming month to answer any questions that you may have, and to keep our first time dancers well informed of how the week will work. Remember that all rehearsals take place at Cab Calloway School of the Arts Tuesday, June 11th from 6-9 - Leotard Rehearsal and Thursday June 13st from 6-9pm is Dress Rehearsal. The shows will be held on Friday June14th at 7pm show (dancers arrive at 6pm) and Saturday, June 15th at 2pm (dancers arrive by 1pm).

Recital Tickets:

Now on sale - Pre-sale on line - Adults - $15 and Seniors/Children - $12! Link at the bottom of the page. Be sure to get your seats now! Seating is reserved and all pre-sale ticketing will be done online this year! Tickets will be available at the recitals but all seats at the door/day of show will be $20.00.

Samples will be available soon for try on! Be on the look out!

Summer Registration/Camp/Intensive:

We are still accepting registration into our summer programs! You can register via the parent portal. This is a great way to maintain your skills, or try something new.
