Weekly Announcements
Teachers: when it is your class' turn, please send your 2-3 volunteers to the office right away so they can begin announcements at 8:30.
Congratulations, Crystal!
MOMO
If you hear students talking about Momo, please do not panic. In a discreet way, please ask the student what they are talking about, and what they know about it. We'd like to know, too, who else may be talking about it or aware of it. Then please report it to Randy and Crystal; depending upon the scenario, one of us or a member of our clinical staff may respond to support the student(s). Our goal is to support students who may have been exposed to this or have questions about it -- and to NOT educate others who are not already aware. With that in mind, we are not planning on addressing it right now as a school or with a whole class (unless a whole class had been exposed to it already). The district may offer additional guidance, or choose to address it directly with parents as time goes on. As students return from a weekend and a snowstorm, their minds may have moved on from this already, or it may take longer for this to phenomena to pass. We will just have to watch and see, and evaluate on an ongoing basis to gauge our response accordingly.
If you do discuss it with a student, please reach out to the student's parent(s) to make them aware of the student's questions or concerns as well, especially since this is something that impacts students on technology outside of school.
Reminder: COMPILING WORK FOR SUSPENDED STUDENTS
STATE VISIT FOLLOW-UP
We will have a faculty meeting this Wednesday (March 6). We will meet to discuss the quick wins and the short term priorities that the state has asked us to make.
* Teachers, if you have a data meeting scheduled for that day during your prep, please put in to have your prep paid.

MATH HAPPENINGS
Dr. Ardito’s Schedule this week is below. On Tuesday, he will be meeting with certain teachers to discuss the process thus far. On Thursday, he will begin the coaching phase. He will observe teachers teach a mini-lesson and will be able to see some of the students work in their groups or independent work stations. If you are scheduled for a math observation during a time that you don’t usually teach math, please make the change to accommodate the schedule just for Thursday. Dr. Ardito will debrief with each person for 5-10 minutes before the end of the lesson. If there are any conflicts, please let Crystal know ASAP.

Reminder: THREE THINGS TO FOCUS ON IN 2019
1). Authentic, caring relationships with every student
2) Differentiated, data-informed instruction
3) Common, standards-based assessment with timely, actionable feedback
If we are successful with these three priorities, we will truly positively impact every student, every day, in every way.
