Jump Starting a Car
Hal Olson
1- Park both cars next to each other.
2- Connect the red, positive end of the cable to the positive terminal of the working battery.
3- Connect the black, negative end of the cable to the negative terminal of the working battery. Do the same with the other end of the cable for the other battery.
4- Start the working car.
5- Wait a minute, then attempt to start the non-working car.
6- Once the formerly non-working car has started, leave the engine running for a few minutes to allow the battery to charge.
7- Disconnect the black cable, starting with the now-working car's terminal before disconnecting from the other car before doing the same with the red cable.
