Early Dismissal

Students will be dismissed at 12:00 noon on Friday, October 2. Please make arrangements for your child to be picked up on time.

Prizes needed!

We are planning on giving students prizes for following the NRES expectations. We would like to do a drawing every week based on the tickets students earned for great behavior. We will need quite a few prizes that will be included in the drawing. Do you know anyone or any business that might donate to us? If so, please contact Oliver Mujica at

Homecoming Parade!

The Fossil Ridge High School Homecoming Parade will be on October 5, 2015. Our school will be participating with an actual Rocket on top of a car and a trailer decorated with signs created by our students. Please wear the grey NRES shirt if you have one or any grey shirts. We are going to start gathering at Chisholm Trail Intermediate at 5:15pm and the parade will start at 6:00pm. The theme will be Ridge Royalty! Come and walk with us in the parade to Fossil Ridge!

Are you interested in helping in the office or classroom of your child’s school on a regular basis? Are you accompanying a group of students on a field trip, helping with PTA events, becoming a WATCH DOG volunteer, or chaperoning at a dance? If you answered ‘YES’ to any of the above questions, you must complete a Criminal History Background check. To be eligible to volunteer on any of the KISD campuses, this process is completed each school year. To be considered as a KISD Volunteer for 2015-2016 school year, please complete the Volunteer Form. KISD appreciates the valuable time you donate to building brighter futures for our students. Parenting Center Workshops

Children’s brains are a work in progress. How a child’s brain develops depends upon how the genes they are born with interact with the experiences they have in their early years. A Message from the Nurse

Our mass school-wide screenings dates for hearing and vision will be October 20-21. This screening will include ALL Kindergarten, 1st and 3rd graders – as well as any 2nd and 4th grader that is new to Keller ISD.

New Home Access Center App!

Now you can access school information from mobile devices using the eSchoolPLUS Family app. Use the app to view attendance, classwork, class and activity calendar events, fees, student grades, and transportation information. Also, send email to a teacher by tapping the teacher's name. The student alerts you subscribed to in Home Access Center can be viewed directly in the app using the Notifications option. Box Tops

  1. Look for the Box Top labels on products you already buy such as Betty Crocker products, Cheerios, Pillsbury, Ziploc, Hefty, Kleenex, and Nature Valley (find a complete list at:
  2. Trim the labels neatly on the lines and check the expiration dates. Send the Box Tops in to your child's classroom in a Ziploc bag or envelope. Please include child's name, teacher's name, grade, and number of Box Tops.
  3. Sign up at and identify “North Riverside Elementary” as your school. Look for “Bonus Box Top Offers” to win and/or opportunities to earn Box Tops for NRES. Coupons for Box Tops products are available at the BTFE website. Visit the Box Tops “Marketplace” to earn points for NRES when you shop online at participating websites.
