The Mustang Minute
December 17, 2021 - Issue 16
Almost There!
Only 3 and a half days until break - but whose counting? We had a great week at CMS with lots of activities and learning. And while a shadow was cast over Friday by the social media claims, we still were able to have some bright moments!
Grade 7 started sheep brain dissections (with more to come next week), we celebrated a 7th grade student, Benjamin Lang whose coding project was chosen to be awarded the Top Gateway Computer Science Project among all the middle school projects submitted across Massachusetts with the message, “Coding Rocks!” In addition to a printed certificate, Ben will receive a Rocketbook and the school will receive a banner to display about our students' accomplishments.
Grade 6 is hard at work on the Culture Projects digging deep to get a better understanding of the many cultures represented by the students in our school and world beyond.
Absence Process
As we head into the winter season, I wanted to clarify how to call your child in for an Absence, tardy, or for dismissal. I will also leave this info at the bottom of all future newsletters for easy referral.
If you need to call your child in absent or tardy, please call the student absent line: 781-762-7880 and press #1. Please state your child's first and last name, the date, and the reason for the absence/tardy (sick, appointment, etc)
If your child needs to be dismissed, have your child bring a note from you to school, come to the main office in the morning and fill out a dismissal slip.

Please plan on the range of start and end times below; finalized times will be announced in early 2022.
