A Weekly Update from Perkiomen Valley High School
This past week we began the second half of the school year. It is certainly flying by. Report cards will be available for the 2nd marking period in ParentVue on Wednesday Feb1st. Please reach out to your student's counselor or teachers with any questions you may have.
I ask that you read the superintendent's weekly message regarding vaping If you have not already done so. Superintendent's Weekly Message
We are looking forward to partnering with families to keeping our students safe and putting an end to vaping in our schools. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Have a wonderful weekend.

PMEA District 11 Choir Festival
Recently, Catie Becker, Sam Decker, and Victoria Hall performed in the PMEA District 11 Choir Festival at Council Rock South High School. Earning a place in the choir means they were in the top twenty of their voice part across all high schools in Bucks and Montgomery Counties. Their performance was inspirational, and Victoria was also selected as a concert soloist. Even more exciting, Victoria and Sam - after re-auditioning (a process every student goes through on the first day) - earned entry into PMEA Region 6 Choir, an ensemble made up of the top high school singers in Montgomery, Bucks, Delaware, Chester, and Philadelphia Counties. Sam earned Bass 2 1st chair!
The Region 6 concert is Saturday, February 18, and they will learn 9 new songs while, no doubt, maintaining their high academic achievement. Their effort is exceptional!
We are incredibly proud of all three District Choir members, and we know that Sam and Victoria will represent PV with enthusiasm, class, and excellence.
Character Breakfast

Flexible Instruction Days
As the weather begins to turn, I thought it best to remind everyone about the possibility of FIDs (Flexible Instructional Days) in response to inclement weather. After utilizing all three (3) built-in inclement weather days, the District may implement a FID to provide virtual instruction to students. FIDs assist schools in meeting the required 180 student days while avoiding the need to extend the instructional calendar year. PA Schools may use up to five (5) FIDs per school year.
