The Fort Report

Greetings Fort Daniel Families,

It is so hard to believe that the school year is almost over! It seems that time has just flown by so quickly. It has truly been an honor and a privilege to work with the students, staff, and families of Fort Daniel Elementary. Our school is definitely a sweet place to work and play. A special thank you goes to our 2021-22 PTA Executive Board, Monya Walker (President), Tamara Washington (Vice President), Alecia Farquharson (Co-Secretary) and Kathryn Rowland (Co-Secretary) for always going the extra mile to support our students and staff. Thank you for your dedicated time, service, and commitment to our sweet school.

In addition, I want to also thank our entire School Council Committee, Andy Pelphrey (Chair), Monya Walker (Co-Chair), Michelle Knott, Joysmir Arbelaez-Jimenez and Christian Jolly for volunteering their time each quarter to provide feedback and ideas to better support our school community.

On behalf of the entire school, we thank you for all of your hard work and leadership! To end, I hope that you all enjoy the last few weeks of school, and just know that I am always just a phone call away if you need anything throughout the summer.

Reminder if you have not filled out a Transportation Parent Authorization form:

To prepare for your child’s transportation needs for the 2022-2023 school year, please complete the transportation form linked below. Every student returning to Fort Daniel Elementary School next year will need a completed transportation form. This form should only be filled out ONCE per student. There is a “submit” button at the top of the document. If the button does not seem to work, please email the completed form to susan.fuld@gcpsk12.org.
