Happy Holidays Everyone!

It was wonderful to see everyone on Wednesday at our Holiday celebration. The children have been practicing their songs for weeks I think we all agree they sang beautifully! Lots of fun was had and many yummy treats eaten!!

A big thank you from myself and Miss Maru for the beautiful and thoughtful Holiday gifts. It has been such a pleasure getting to know all your children this year, they are all superstars! We can't wait to learn new and exciting things together in the New Year.

Have a wonderful time together this Holiday break, filled with lots of fun with family and friends! Thank you so much for all your support this first half of the year, we look forward to welcoming you back to PK on Wednesday January 13th.

How can we test to see how sturdy a box is?

To finish our study of boxes we asked one last question "How can we test to see how sturdy a box is?” During our morning meeting we experimented with different ideas the children came up with:

  • putting heavy things inside a box
  • standing on it
  • sitting on it

Sitting on it proved to be the most popular choice so we tested. As you can see below, some boxes were more sturdy than others!

Number Bingo

We have been practicing our counting and number recognition with a game of number bingo this week. The children rolled their dice, counted the spots and then dotted the number. Great number work PK3!

We had a surprise left for us in our classroom of Santa's helpers had left us a train ticket for the Polar Express and a jingle bell; because in PK3 we truly believe!

Luckily we were all ready in our pajamas! So off we went with hot chocolate, marshmallows and popcorn to eat on the way! A truly wonderful way to finish our first semester together.
