From the Principal

Happy New Year! I hope you had a wonderful holiday filled with lots of fond memories. Our first week back has been great. Our Heroes jumped right into the swing of things. It's going to be a great spring semester.

Thank you to all of the Dads who attended our Watch D.O.G.S. kick off. We're excited to get this amazing program launched at Hoover! We're working to build our volunteer opportunities. Please be on the lookout for more and find ways to take part because the home-school partnership is so important.

Just a reminder that Monday, January 21, 2019, is a student/staff holiday. School resumes Tuesday, January 22, 2019.

Thank you for your continued support of Hoover. Have a fabulous 2019!

From the Music Room

We are so excited to announce that our music room just gained several new instruments through DonorsChoose this past year! We now have 48 new pairs of drumsticks, 2 sets of circular sound shaped drums and 4 spring drum thunder tubes! All of these instruments we plan to showcase in our annual 2nd grade performance. This year it will be on May 7, 2019 titled “We are Wild About Music” (hence all the animals in the pictures with our instruments). We will be writing our own music to perform with the drumsticks. The circle drums and thunder tubes we will use to enhance our other pieces throughout the program. We can’t wait to show you just how very wild we are about music! See you there!!
