Deepening Clinical Skills for Psychotherapists
A workshop for practicing and/or training psychotherapists who are interested in deepening practical, in-session clinical skills with clients who are struggling with addiction.
This all day, interactive workshop will provide therapists with an evidence-based, hands-on training experience to deepen clinical skills and manage client planning and outcome.
Topics to be discussed will include:
Motivational Interviewing
Creating client trust
Trauma and addiction
Stages of change
Developing a clinical style
Working with families and adolescents

Sean Meggeson, MA, is a full-time Psychotherapist working in Private Practice in Toronto. He holds a Master of Arts in Poetics and Creative Writing, as well as an Addiction Careworker Diploma and a Certificate in Addiction Studies. He is also currently training at The Toronto Institute for Relational Psychotherapy. Sean has over a decade of personal and professional experience with recovery and addiction and is passionate about sharing these experiences with others. Fee: $120.00 for practicing psychotherapists; $80.00 for training psychotherapists
