Teacher And Nurse Appreciation Week

Dear Buccaneer Parents and Students,

During these unprecedented times our teachers and our nurse are working to meet the needs of our students and we want to thank them for that. What a better time than Teacher and Nurse's appreciation week, the week of May 4th-8th . During this week we want to show our teachers just how much we love them and appreciate them. We would love for you to send in a picture, video, note, or email to us and then we will use these notes of appreciation to create something for the teachers. Or if you prefer, you can send your gift directly to your teachers and our nurse! Please send all items in to Mrs. Gracias at julissa.gracias@sweetwaterschools.org or to Ms. Parrenas at esther.parrenas@sweetwaterschools.org. Thank you for helping us make Teacher and Nurse Appreciation Week great!

On another note, I want to remind you that the greatest gift that you can give yourself, your parents, and your teachers, is that of your commitment to excellence. Some of you might not think it is important to finish strong; but it is very important to finish with the conviction that you gave everything in your power to learn as much as you possibly could. These are difficult times; we understand this and we are being very understanding and flexible. However, we do not want you to give up. Do you best and give your best. I hope that we have instilled a love for learning. You need to have that intrinsic motivation to reach your highest potential; not because I, your principal, tell you to do the work, or because your teachers tell you to do the work, or because your loved ones tell you to do the work, but because you really want to do it for yourself.

You will be an 8th grader or a High Schooler next year. You owe it to yourself to be as prepared as possible for your next endeavor.

We are here to help you in anything we can.

Be Strong, be Kind, and strive to achieve Excellence!

Your principal,

Julissa Gracias
