KAES 7th & 8th Grade Retreat 2020

7th and 8th Grade Retreat

Each year our 7th and 8th graders here at KAES have the opportunity to attend a leadership retreat. This brings our upper classmen together while giving direction and focus in becoming leaders for Jesus on our campus. This year we separated by grade allowing each class to spend the day at the camp working and growing together. They worked through challenge activities that helped them realize that they are stronger together and that with Christ all things are possible. They also had a ton of fun playing, eating and laughing together. Thank you to all the sponsors who gave of their time and sleep this week to make this great event happen.

Friday T-Shirts

KAES Home & School provides each of our students with a school t-shirt. These shirts can be worn on casual Fridays and any time there is a school event off campus. KAES Home & School provides each student with a school T-Shirt that he or she can wear on Friday. If you have not received a shirt for your child please contact Mimi in the school office. Sizes are limited so as the saying goes, The early bird gets the worm (or in this case, the right size).

Outdoor Bible Adventure Vespers

Next Saturday, August 29 at 6:45-7:45 pm is our Outdoor Bible Adventure Vespers. This will be a great time to connect with other KAES families. It will be held in the Keene Adventist Church upper parking lot. Bring your lawn chairs, chalk and ideas how to decorate your space depicting Bible scriptures. Let's see who can guess your illustrated story.

First Day Popsicle (Watermelon) Feed

It has been a longstanding tradition for church members and school families to donate watermelons on the first day for a school wide watermelon feed. This year we still had a school wide feed but with popsicles instead. It provided for a safe treat and everyone had a drippingly tasty good time.

Praising God in Song

This year we have avoided singing inside buildings and rooms because of the increased chances of spreading sickness. It has been tough not being able to praise God in song, however we have become aware of a special mask that many universities are using that are made to protect students while singing. We hope to raise enough money to have every student have one so that they can sing in class in the morning, in music class and at chapels or other events.

If God has blessed you in ways that you feel you could help bring music back to KAES, please consider giving. We have already many donations and prayers for our students to have a safe way to praise God in song.
