OneDrive Training and H: Drive Transition

Towards the end of this school year, we will begin to sunset traditional network file storage and shift those storage options to Office 365 and OneDrive, which has no file storage limitation. This will give you an ability to sync, backup, and work offline with files; this wasn't capable with traditional network file storage.

The next step in this shift to the cloud will include staff H: drives becoming READ-ONLY on April 15, 2019. Read-only allows users to access the material; however, no new material may be added, as well as no edits to existing H: drive documents can be saved to this location. All new material should be created and housed in OneDrive. Existing material should be transitioned to OneDrive cloud storage. **Student H: drives and student shared folders will remain accessible until a later date yet to be determined.

Within your building/department you have access to various opportunities to assist staff in this transition to OneDrive.

Please do not hesitate to reach out with questions or for support as we move to this cloud-based environment.

2nd Annual OPS Tech Share - Are you future ready?

Save the date! Tuesday, May 28th and Wednesday, May 29th

We're bringing together educators across the district to share technology integration ideas. More details will be shared closer to the date.

Last year's participants say:

"WONDERFUL! Innovative, engaging, teachers getting excited about stuff together always makes my heart grow three sizes!"

"Very positive! I've loved sharing and connecting with other educators and learning from so many experts. The timing was great. I like jumping right in to training instead of getting into summer mode and then having to pull myself back out of it. I learned very valuable and actionable information/skills from each of the 4 sessions I attended."

Here is just one way that ITL cohort graduates are giving back to teachers in the district! Rena Sharp (Kellom Elementary) and Eileen Heller (Elementary Trainer) had the opportunity to present at this year’s Nebraska Educational Technology Association (NETA) conference. They incorporated fellow ITL grad, Dani Nyffler (Wilson Focus) into their presentation via Skype. Way to go ITLs! For more information about the OPS ITL program, please contact McKenzie White at mckenzie.white@ops.org.
