Director's Message

Progress Reporting:

All students at WST now have their current progress in each class. Parents will receive the progress report via mail, but you can also go onto Skyward to review as well. If you do not have your Skyward information, please contact Erin Mckiernan at

Each month, WST will send home a letter notifying parents of any unexcused absences. If you receive a letter, please contact Erin Mckiernan, at, to excuse any absences.

Reminder: When a student is absent from WST, the student needs to contact their instructor directly, just like any workplace, and notify the instructor of the absence. Per state law, parents must follow up with the registrar to excuse the absence.

If your student is home due to positive Covid test or possible Covid exposure, please contact Shani Watkins, at to report the absence. The director will follow up with the nurse and sending school. It is important that parents report the absence in a timely manner.

Upcoming Events:

WST Spa Night with Cosmetology and Esthetics - Tuesday, October 26, from 5:00 - 7:00 - MUST preregister.

Cosmetology and Esthetics Client Services:

Covid Information for Bremerton School District

We are launching a "Test to Stay" program for students.

Through this program, rather than having to quarantine at home, an unvaccinated student who has been identified as a close contact while at school may continue to attend classes as long as they test at school every other morning before class during their quarantine (Vaccinated students do not have to quarantine per CDC and DOH guidelines).

Watch for some additional details forthcoming via email from the District's COVID supervisor Kristen Morga.
