Battle of the Brains Mentor Visit

Our Burns & McDonnell engineering mentor and former PSMS graduate met with us last month, and will visit with us again after school on Wednesday, October 14th in Room 40 from 2:50 - 4:00.

We have four teams working on Battle of the Brains competition submissions for the Burns and McDonnell and Union Station new "outdoor" exhibit. The "BIG" science concepts the groups have selected include: biomes, environment, gravity, and physics. The due date for the submissions is 5:00 on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 (since I will be out of the building on Wednesday, October 21st).

Some students have requested to stay after school to work on their submissions and I have agreed to stay until 4:00 if they want to meet in my room. Love that work ethic!!

AMC8 Math Competition

Friday, October 9th is the last day to sign-up for the November 19th AMC8 Math competition. Information about the competition and a sign-up form are located outside Room 40.

At Back to School night, I told you that our gifted IEP meetings were scheduled primarily on Mondays and Fridays. Since then, the administration has asked me to try and schedule our gifted IEP meetings on Tuesdays and Fridays when possible, and on Mondays as a last resort. Thank you for your flexibility!
