news and updates from the NCLA PTO
PTO Meeting Monday Night!
Please join us for The NCLA PTO meeting on Monday, March 21st. It will be at 6:30 in the multi-purpose room. This is immediately following the Coffee with the Principal meeting with Mrs. Faenza. We are unable to offer childcare at this time.
Spirit Wear Shirts
Show your NCLA spirit by ordering these prize winning shirts! Brenna's winning design is the Falcon t-shirt. Mrs. Bland submitted a 'Pick A Pocket shirt." We are very excited about both of these shirts and are hopeful that they will appeal to the majority of students and families. You will find the link below for the websites where you can place your orders. Because the winning designs are coming from 2 different vendors, you must order from each site individually. Orders from both sites will be delivered to the school. MARCH 23rd is the deadline for the "pick a pocket" and MARCH 24th for the Falcon design. The projected delivery is 4/7 -4/11. Be sure to order before the cutoff dates!

Link 2: Pick a Pocket Fabric Shirt (Note: For the pick a pocket, there is a $2 fee for 2XL)
These shirts are preshrunk cotton and are sized similarly to a typical cotton shirt you would buy from Target or Kohls. When in doubt size up. These designs are proprietary to The NCLA and should be ordered only through the authorized vendors that are listed above.
Please contact Wena Podger if you have any questions about the new spirit wear shirts!

Heart and Soles 5K
Spring is right around the corner. Time to lace up the sneakers and prepare for our annual 5K and Fun Run at The NCLA. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, May 28th at 9 am on our campus! In order to promote healthy AND caring hearts at the school, The NCLA’s Heart and Soles 5K will donate a portion of student sponsorships raised to the American Heart Association. This event is our largest fundraising effort of the year. We will be looking for volunteers as the event approaches in many areas.
In order to put on a successful event we want your feedback! Please take the survey and provide input to help us make this year's 5K a great event! Take the survey by clicking here.
We are excited to be able to offer the 5K and Fun Run training club for our event again this year. This club is offered to 2nd – 7th graders starting in mid-April on Wednesdays. The club meets right after school on campus to help keep them motivated, provide a training plan, and support to prepare for the race. More details will be sent home soon, along with instructions if you have a younger child who wishes to participate. We still need 2 parent volunteers to make the club possible, please contact Nicole Cartagena at email@example.com if you are interested. It is amazing to see our kids on race day complete something they never thought possible and leave with more confidence.
Another huge component of our success are our community race sponsors. If you have a business or know of a business who may be interested in being a part of this event, please contact Wena Podger @ firstname.lastname@example.org to receive a sponsorship packet. Sponsor levels range from $250 -$5000.
