4/5/22
National Assistant Principal's Week - April 4 - 8
We appreciate you, and we are glad that you are here.
National Library Week - April 3 - 9
We can't wait to see what happens next!
PTO Fiesta Parent Mixer a HUGE Success!
Congratulations and many, many thanks to the WCHE PTO for making the Fiesta Parent Mixer at Blissful Hill such a fun evening. It was perfect weather, and a good time was had by all who attended.
We had a great turnout and great support from our community partners. Thanks to their generous donations and support from our Tiger families, the WCHE PTO will now have additional funds to underwrite Tiger learning programs. On behalf of all of the WCHE Tigers, we thank you, one and all!
Tuesday, May 17, is Career Fair Day at WCHE!
And we couldn't be more excited!!!
This is our opportunity to expose our Tigers to a broad range of career possibilities and ignite new interests as they consider their future careers.
We are looking for parents and/or community members who would be willing to speak to classes of students about their jobs. Speakers will also have an opportunity to "show and tell" with props, photos, video clips, or demonstrations. Finally, they will be provided time to answer student questions.
In-person speakers are invited to present to a particular grade level on Tuesday, May 17, and present 4-5 sessions across a period of 1-2 hours. Speakers will be selected by our Social Emotional Learning Team with the goal of having a variety of career fields represented. If we have multiple volunteer speakers from similar career fields, speakers will be selected randomly.
If you would be interested in being a guest at our Career Fair (whether in-person or pre-recorded), please complete this form. We thank you for contributing to this fun and educational day!
One Community One School One Book
On Monday, March 28, our school started a special project: an all-school book club called One Community One School One Book. Every family should have received its copy of The Wild Robot by Peter Brown the week of March 21, for Tigers were provided with their family's copy of the book that week during library class.
Families are invited to read our book together at home during the March 28 through April 29 program.
Please click this link to view the reading calendar and to learn more.
Happy Reading!
Mrs. Seidenberger,
WCHE Librarian
Let's have even more fun!

Come and Embrace the Noise! Apply to be On Team Tiger Today!
We are looking for more people to join our staff of caring professionals. Our campus-wide theme for this year is "Embrace the Noise," and we are seeking people, maybe like YOU, who would like to come and make some "noise" with us.
We are accepting applications for Instructional Special Education Aides. Prior experience is not required. The Lake Travis Independent School District happily provides training for its employees.
If you would like to learn more about the rewarding positions that we have available right here in your neighborhood school, click here.
Be on the Lookout for LTISD Bus Transportation Updates
One might think that our school bus drivers would be immune to anything and everything that could be thrown their way, BUT, from time to time, LTISD bus drivers do need to take a sick day, and at this time the District is not always able to provide a substitute bus driver quickly enough to cover the route.
As a result, there are times when SMARTTag and/or LTISD will notify parents that bus service could be delayed or that bus service for a particular route is canceled. Even though the disruption to service happens very infrequently, it's still an inconvenience when it happens to you and your Tiger(s.) We apologize.
Please be sure to pay close attention to SMARTTag and/or LTISD transportation alerts and updates so that you will know if/when disruption to your service has occurred.
