Student Opportunities

Youth Leadership Of Knoxville - Rising Juniors

Youth Leadership of Knoxville is designed to connect area high school students, enhance their knowledge of Knoxville, develop leadership skills, and expose students to our community leaders and opportunities for engagement. Our partnership with Pellissippi State Community College allows students who participate to gain 3 hours college credit. The application deadline is March 31st.

Student Representative for KCS Board of Education

The KCS Board of Education is seeking a student representative for the 2023 - 2024 school year. Rising seniors with strong communication and organizational skills are encouraged to apply. Uf you student is interested, please let us know, and we will. work with him/her on their application and interview skills.

TESTING INFORMATION

ACT Testing

**All juniors will take the ACT for FREE on Tuesday, March 7th. The test is online. Students will need a charged Chromebook on the day of the test. More information will come home with students regarding creating an account with ACT. More information about test prep can be found at the link below:

**All sophomores will take the Pre-ACT on Tuesday, March 7th. This test is on paper and will be great practice for the ACT. Note: The school will not be able to provide calculators for sophomores on this date. The pre-ACT can be done without a calculator, but it is suggested to use one if you have one.
