Instruction During Quarantine
(repeat)
If your child is absent from school due to being quarantined, our teachers are prepared to do the following:
- Create a Google Classroom for each class
- Post all assignments (with links) in a timely manner
- Be prepared to start instruction for quarantined students on or before the students third day of a consecutive absence
- Connect with students once a week (during school hours) for classes that meet each day (email, Google Meet, phone)
- Provide feedback on work done outside of school on a weekly basis
- Follow grading guidelines and timelines
- Explicitly teach students how to connect with the teacher, request help and access learning resources
- Provide instruction in multiple modes (screencastify, videos, slide shows, exemplars)
It will be important for your child to check their school email and Google classrooms daily.
PTSA Update
- If you are interested in joining the PTSA, it is only $10. Simply click this link and complete the online registration form: MemberHub. It's as simple as that! You will then receive a monthly email reminder for meetings that also includes updates or other info.
- PTSA meetings will be held virtually on the 2nd Monday each month from 6-7pm; the first meeting is September 13th. Simply join here each month: https://meet.google.com/xig-czcm-xxg. Membership is not required to attend PTSA meetings, volunteer at events, or contribute to discussion, but is required in order to vote (e.g. elections, budget decisions, etc) or be on a committee.
Please feel free to share this information with other family or caregivers that may be interested.
