I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I know at CMS, our students took to the stage and had two masterful performances of Matilda Jr. The crowds loved them and the students owned the stage. It has been over two plus years since we have had the opportunity to engage in any drama productions. After seeing both shows all I can say is wow! Although English, math, science and social studies are important, so are the performing arts, sports and clubs. These types of activities help to shape well rounded individuals, and also help to enrich essential soft skills needed for continuous success. I might even add that it’s FUN, too! If you had a chance to join us - THANK YOU! If not, I’m sure moving forward we will be having plenty more productions. Thank you Miss Fontaine and crew for a job well done! Finally, a special thank you to all of the students who made the show a complete success.
On another note, we will be having our Math MCAS testing this week. Grades 5 & 6 will be on Monday and Tuesday. Followed by grades 7 & 8 on Wednesday and Thursday. If you are looking to help us out, please make sure your child goes to bed early and has a good breakfast in the morning. Our job is to remind them just to do their best. We have great students and it’s always a pleasure to watch them learn, grow and represent.

Come out to Polar Park on Friday, June 24, 2022 for a Charlton Middle School Music Parents Association fundraiser! Tickets are $20 and are located at 3rd base.
