Our Target is:
I can tell time using an analogue and digital clock to every 5 minutes.
Day 1
Introduction to Time
Day One: Click on the Button to watch the Video. Pass out the paper of notes for them to fill out. After pre-test. Have the students take notes about the clock and the different parts.
Day 2
Open Brainpop Jr. and go to "Parts of a Clock". Have students fill out the sheet to go with the Video. If you have it already open and you are signed in here is the link. http://www.brainpopjr.com/math/time/partsofaclock/
Day 3
Telling time to the hour
Learn how to write and tell the time to the hour. This is just a review.
Do Time to the Hour cut out sheet and Time to the Hour Drawing Hands
Have the students use blue pens for minutes and red pins for the hour.
If there is time at the end - Introduce a game for stations.
Day 4
Telling time to the half hour and quarter hour
Learn how to tell time to the half hour and quarter hour. Great for learning vocabulary.

Time to the minute
Telling time to the minute. The students are not ready for the time to the minute but it is a great introduction to telling time to the 5 minutes. It also explains why it skip counts by 5's. We will practice this for 3 days.

Time To the Nearest 5 Minutes (Cootie Catcher)
Have the Kids make the Cootie Catcher and Practice with a Partner for 5 Minutes. Then get into Stations.
