Bird's Eye View Apples

Still Lives From Above

For this project the Kindergarteners learned about Still Lives first! We looked at the art work of Paul Cézanne and identified all of the shapes that we saw. Then the students tried their hand at drawing apples on a plate from above, A BIRD'S EYE VIEW.

The students colored their apples using crayons! They could choose from different shades of red, brown and green to make them look realistic. This was wonderful because lastly the students used water color to fill in the background and the crayon created a resist.
