Fun with Pre-K Fours!
Incredible I Week
What a week this has been. We have been really busy! We have learned all about the letter I and vowels. We have perfected our vowel song :) Pajama day was a success and the children (and teachers!) really enjoyed lounging around in our jammies all day.
Even though the weather wasn't the best, we still had so much fun at the pumpkin patch! The kids didn't care if they were wet or not :) Thank you so much parents for your help and making this trip very memorable.
Next Week
We will continue learning about the letter I. We will also be doing an "Icky Week" for the letter I and also for Halloween. We will have something "icky" each day that the children will have to guess what it is by just feeling.
Math
- recognize written numbers, quantities, and number names
- matching movement and sounds to count words
- compare and order numbers and groups of objects
Phonemic Awareness & Phonics
- recognize vowels and their sounds in our alphabet
- focusing on words in written sentences
- make complete sentences with separate words
Icky Week
- Eyeballs - peeled grapes
- jello - guts
- cooked rice - bugs
- noodles - worms
Reminders
- Fall Break on the 18 & 21 (I don't think anyone will forget!)
- Show and Tell on the 25th. Bring something that starts with the letter I (will have to get creative).
- If anyone has any books with " I " in the title, feel free to bring them in to share with the class. We have not been able to find many!
- We will send Friday Folders out next week, since I week will last two weeks
