Fall Carnival/Auction: Important Update

CARNIVAL SIGN-UP

There are only 10 days until the GES Auction items are due on THURSDAY, OCTOBER 5TH, and we need your help! We are asking each family to contribute something for our themed baskets to make this the most successful auction yet! Collection boxes are now in your child's classroom. Just send them to school with their items to be placed in the box. (Please note, donations of wine/beer cannot be dropped off at the school. Please contact your coordinator to arrange for pick up).

Ways to contribute:

*Ask a local business for a donation (or send us the name and contact information of someone you have in mind and we are happy to do it!)

*Purchase item(s) from the basket list

*Make a Cash or Gift Card donation

As a reminder the 2nd Grade Basket Themes are: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, Family Fun Day, Road Trip, Chocolate Lovers, Proud to be an American, and Ahoy Matey!

September Character Quality: Kindness

September's character quality is kindness. Please have conversations about the importance of being kind. You may even consider asking your child about specific acts of kindness they have done or different ways people have shown kindness to them.

Ongoing Reminders

All classroom and field trip volunteers must read the Volunteer Handbook and complete the online background check form: Volunteer Background Check. This must be completed annually. Please make sure you have completed both of these for the school year 2017-2018. If you are a Friday Reader and have not yet completed these, please do so and allow 7-10 days for the background check to process. Thank you.

School begins at 7:40. Students not in their classrooms at 7:40 are marked tardy.
