New Kindergarten Playground
We are so excited to be unveiling our new K play area tomorrow, and very thankful to all of our parents, community contributors and hard working PTA members for their work to help us make this happen. Your support on our fundraisers like Boosterthon enabled the PTA to contribute, and we had several community partners, including some of our own parents, that supported our efforts as well. WCPSS offered a matching grant, and after all of the contributions, we were able to make it happen. A special Thank You to:
- Heather Cargile and WSES PTA
- Stu Vogt (Carolina Landscape and Stone)
- Seegars Fencing (and Ken Manning)
- Bob Barker
- Johnson Concrete
- Fuquay Chamber Leadership Team
- Fuquay Jr. Woman's Club
Pictures
Individual pictures will be taken for Tracks 2 and 4 on Tuesday, August 7. If you would like to select your background, remember to send back the flyer with your selection marked.
Student progress
Parents on tracks 1 and 2 will be receiving information on how your child is progressing with the parent reports from MClass and/or interims next week. Keep an eye out for them in the Friday folder.
Early Release - August 17
Our first early release this year will occur on Friday, August 17. We will dismiss at 1:20, and the car-rider line will line up at 1:05. Teachers will be attending professional development on cultural proficiency.
School Pride Day
This year, we will not have a school spirit week, but instead the Student Council has voted to have School Spirit Days throughout the year. Our first School Spirit Day will be on our Early Release Day, Friday August 17. Everyone is encouraged to wear either Orange and Black or a Willow Springs T-Shirt to show our school pride!
