And Mr. Tony Naradko, Assistant Director of School Services for Transportation and Safety made a presentation about a new application that Computer Aid has developed which includes a real-time tracking capability so that our transportation office will know the exact location, route and speed and stops of all Parkland buses at any time. It is a hosted web application that is accessible 24x7 from any device. A parent app is in development and will inform parents how many minutes away their child's bus is from their stop. If the bus goes off route, it will send an alert to the district. The app will alert parents when bus is 5 minutes from the stop.
