Happy Friday!

We can't even believe it's the first weekend of December! This time of year always seems to fly by incredibly fast. We are excited to have families join us for the 5th grade concert on Tuesday!

You are Invited!

What: Fifth Grade Concert~ Fifth grade beginning band and our Fifth Grade Musical!

When: Tuesday December 7, 2021 6:30pm.


Please have your student arrive by 6:15pm. Band students will meet Ms. Ritenburgh and Mr. McEnry in Ms. Miles' music room. Everyone else will meet Ms. Miles and Ms. Ramirez in the commons area.


Where: HHES Gym


Please social distance yourselves from other families and wear a mask!

Students may wear festive clothing, or something nice! Costumes are available for students who have a leading role.


Band students will be wearing their assigned attire. Don't forget your band instrument and your music!

Help us meet our goal!

Now, through December 16th we are looking for donations of food, new (unwrapped) toys, new mittens, gloves, hats or socks. Please consider donating items if you are able.


We have a goal of 2,021 items this year.

Water Bottles Reminder

Please send your child to school with a refillable water bottle each day. Students will be drinking from these water bottles throughout the day, as our drinking fountains will not be accessible due to COVID precautions.

Are you interested in Volunteering?

We are looking forward to offering the opportunity to volunteer in our school this year. We will have safety protocols in place for all volunteers at our school.


Volunteers will be required to do the following:


  • Wear a mask
  • Check-in at front office
  • Temperature check
  • Complete attestation form
  • Sanitize hands frequently
  • Sanitize work station when complete
  • Go directly to one specific location and return
  • Be cleared from District Office to volunteer
  • Volunteers must be fully vaccinated by October 18th

Hockinson Heights Elementary

All students will be proficient in reading by the end of second grade and maintain proficiency until the end of fifth grade, because we believe reading is the key for all students to achieve their dreams.
