The Basics
This flyer will cover 3 different diets that are completely different. Choose the best diet to fit your needs!
Choose for you!
All these diets are very different. Choose a diet that fits your everyday life, something that can easily fit into your schedule, weight, age, and overall the food that fits your needs. Choose the best for you because you deserve it!
DASH Diet
The main function to the DASH diet is preventing and lowering high blood pressure. It also helps you maintain a healthy diet and overall feel better, look better and perform better. The pros to this diet is that you will maintain a healthy heart and stay nutritionally sound. The cons are that you will need to put in a lot of work and that it is somewhat pricey. For this diet meals should mostly consist of whole grains and vegetables because these foods are rich in fiber, calcium, protein and potassium, which have been shown to help fend off or lower high blood pressure!
TLC Diet
The main function of the TLC diet is cutting high cholesterol. The key is cutting back on fat and saturated fat. The pros are that this diet helps you maintain a healthy heart and it is government endorsed. The cons are that you are on your own and must decode your own food labels and make your own choices. The goal is to lower your calorie intake and to watch the amount of fat and saturated fat you consume and to lower it to reduce LDL. For meals you should stick to skinless chicken or turkey; same goes for fish. Red meat is strongly discouraged, since it’s often high in saturated fat, you must also stay away from fast food and junk food because they are high in fat. Overall this diet will help you lose weight and maintain a healthy heart!
Mayo Clinic Diet
The main function of the Mayo Clinic Diet is strictly weight loss. The pros are that you will be nutritionally sound and that you shape your own diet. The cons are that you will have to put in a lot of work and effort and it is somewhat pricey. For meals you will have to focus on creating a balanced meal with all food groups that are high in nutrients. Base your menu on Mayo Clinic’s pyramid, choosing options such as stir fry made with brown rice, lean chicken, broccoli and mushrooms. Just be sure to keep portion sizes in check. When following the diet you will be able to shed weight fast and will also get many health benefits from it like cardiovascular benefits and it helps control diabetes. When choosing this diet it is about mostly losing weight fast so it is a very good short term diet. Following the easy steps you should be able to obtain your weight goal in no time!
Short-term or long-term
I think both short term are equally achievable and working diets. It all depends on how much time you have and what you are trying to accomplish. You will need a lot of commitment and have to make sacrifices for both but you should choose the one that will be achievable and will work for you. Remember to set goals to help you go threw with your diet no matter what your mind says. Sometimes you just have to eliminate the temptations because you have to do the best for you. A healthy diet and lifestyle does mean a lot and you should put care and time into your diet to get the most out of it. Choose a diet for you and go through with it, you will not regret it.
Exercise!
Balance exercise with dieting, you will feel better and it will help you accomplish your goals faster. Set small goals to start and then shoot for bigger ones. The main goal is to balance exercise and dieting with your life and to maintain a balanced routine.
