Mrs. Ciminera's Weekly Update
Week of January 16th
I hope everyone had a wonderful long weekend and hopefully we are in for a quick, stress-free short week!
I am so proud of the Robotics team, they did an amazing job representing SCJN at the competition last weekend!
We have TONS of items in the Lost and Found! Here is a link to all of the items. Please take some time to look through and see if anything belongs to your child. They can come to the office to claim any items! Thank you to Mrs. Chila for organizing and taking pictures of everything!
Planning is underway for Catholic Schools Week 2023!! We know that is will be a super fun week! Once everything is set, we will send a calendar for the week! It kicks off on Sunday, January 29 with the Pancake Breakfast and Book Fair. More details are in the Home and School section below.
As always, feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.
Have a fabulous week!
Virtue of the Month and Prayer Corner
Our virtue for the month of January is Fortitude. Fortitude is being brave and strong in the face of trials.
We pray that all of our school families stay safe and healthy. We pray for the Patterson, Palumbi, Gorman, Haas, Oelkers, O'Sullivan, Hand, and Haub families. We pray for Austin Beltrante, Bill Smith, Bill Tierney, and the Essery and Antell Families. We pray for Chris Turner, Bern Harwick, Jackie Goebig, Tom Fugat and Jack Wozniak. We pray for one special intention, Joe Miele Senior, Fran Iacovone, and Kelsey Conway. We pray for Sam Laurent, Michael Daly and June Vrablik. We pray for peace in our world and our community. We pray that we all have the courage to be kind and accepting of each other.
Super Saint Buck Winners
Our above and beyond winners: Connor Reynolds, Vincent Burnett, Julian Frustaci, Sienna Frustaci, Patrick Cognato, Ellie Rozran, and James Italiano
Mrs. Geesey's 7th grade won a dress down day with the most Super Saint Bucks over 2 weeks! Way to go!
Note on Super Saint Bucks: Kids can earn saint bucks from any teacher or staff member for being kind, caring, respectful, etc. Each week we collect them and I pull winners from each grade band (PreK-K, 1-4, 5-8). I also choose a few Above and Beyond winners. These are students who I have noticed or other staff members have noticed going above and beyond or did something super awesome. All winners receive a prize from the prize bin! Prizes range from fun little toys all the way up to breakfast sandwiches and donuts!
Keep being kind, caring, generous and respectful! I am so proud of all the SCJN students!! Thank you for encouraging this kindness and respect at home as well.
