Principal Crowley's Corner
Week of 9/12/22
Off we go!
Welcome to our Kindergarten students! It is so nice having the entire school back in the building now. Everyone is working hard each day getting adjusted to school rules, routines, and enjoying time with friends.
This week some highlights to look forward to:
- CARES begins
- Back to School Night for grades 2 and 3 in the cafeteria. Parents are welcome to arrive as early as 5:30pm to socialize and see some samples of our new Spirit Wear. We will begin with our speakers promptly at 6:30pm.
- Summer Reading Adventure on Friday: Please wear the summer reading adventure t shirt with gym shorts.
Dress Down Day- Date Switch
On Friday, we will celebrate our Summer Reading Adventure as a school! Students will be working with their buddies to discuss the books Encanto (lower grades) and Float (upper grades). Students are to wear their summer reading adventure t-shirt and gym shorts on Friday.
Since we wanted the students to have a true dress down day where they could choose their outfit for the day, our first school-wide Dress Down Day has been moved to Monday 9/19. Please remember to send in $1 for this dress down day. All money raised will be donated to CHOP's Parkway Run to support pediatric cancer research. Thank you!
Save the dates: Catechetical Sunday and Monthly School Mass
Sunday 9/18 is Catechetical Sunday and we will gather at the 9:30am mass for a special blessing of all catechists. A parish coffee will follow. Who doesn't love a donut after mass?!
Dismissal changes, absence reports, a forgotten lunch?
Contact Mrs. Hodgens in the front office shodgens@sksschool.org. Thank you!
Prayer Corner
Please know you can always contact us to add any prayer intentions to our list for morning prayers. I will use this space to share prayers that you can say at home with your children throughout the year.
Below is a family prayer in remembrance of 9/11.
Thank you for your support!
Thank you for supporting us each day. Your partnership helps each day run smoothly here at school. I would like to take a moment to commend our teachers on the excellent communication they have sent out to families. They are working hard to keep everyone informed about what is going on at school. I am excited to see some of the projects and activities the students will be doing in their classrooms. Keep your eye out on our social media platforms this week for some highlights. Here's to a great week!
God Bless You!
