Trivia
Miss Lumina and Miss Emerald
Q: How do I stop eating so much junk food?
A: Junk food is addictive. It’s good for the present, but in the long run, you’re going to suffer big time. I suggest you hide your junk food in places that you can remember, but are hard to reach. After a while, your crave will subside. Then, get yourself some healthy alternatives that taste good and make you feel good.
Good Luck! -Miss Lumina
Q: I can't find any snacks to eat at the store. They are all Too Expensive. I need healthy snacks, since my teacher doesn’t allow junk food. What should I do?
A: I used to have this problem. Don't worry! Just look at the back of the cheapest snacks you can find and look at their nutrition facts. If you can’t find any inexpensive snacks, try fruits and vegetables that you're sure to eat.
-Miss Emerald
Q: My family can’t find a restaurant that we can eat from often that we agree on. What should I do?
A: Ouch. That must be fun. I had this problem once, but I solved it pretty easily. My family took a vote, because some of us voted for the same restaurant. If that’s not your case, this should help: draw straws or pieces of paper. Each time you go to a restaurant, draw your items. Happy Choosing!

Q: I can't think of a snack for school. What are some healthy but tasty snacks that my teacher will allow me to have inside my classroom?
A: My teacher only lets us have fruits, vegetables, and cheese inside our classroom, so if that’s your case, that’s all you got. Don’t smuggle Teddy Grahams into your classroom using an empty box of raisins. But if that’s not your case, and you have more wiggle room, but junk food is still not allowed, you may just be in luck. Let me just make this clear: Yogurt with M&Ms do not count as healthy snacks if you put the M&Ms in. Try tortilla chips, but make sure to check the nutrition information. Here’s a quick recipe for homemade cinnamon applesauce: I'm amazing! And so are you! So click here!

I’ll be watching for those raisin boxes!

Q: Halloween was recent, and I’m through half my candy. How do I stop eating so much candy?
A: Most of us struggle with this one! I suggest giving a trusted adult or friend (I mean trusted, as in someone who doesn’t steal candy but don’t give them to a stranger!) the candies, and only keeping a few for yourself. Eat those strategically, and after you think you got the hold of it, go retrieve a few of your candies, but not that much, as it could easily start up again. And whatever you do, remember to savour that flavour!
-Miss Lumina
Q:I need to make my own lunch everyday, and I'm getting tired of sandwiches. What’s something I can take that’s healthy and tasty and doesn’t take that long to whip up?
A: Try this! This will most likely help you! Some recipes might require a little parent assistance. Good Luck!
