Student Council Friendship Candygrams

If you would like to surprise your child with a Candygram, you can do the following:

  • Stop by the office during school hours and see Lisa or Tina to purchase

or

  • Send money in an envelope marked “Office” on the outside
    • On the inside of the envelope, please make sure to include who the Candygram is to, who the Candygram is from, the LAST NAME of the child, and the teacher's name so Candygrams can be delivered to the correct student

(For example, if we see "To: Gabby, From: Mom," we have several students named Gabby at Solon and may not know which classroom/Gabby to deliver the Candygram.)

*The Stinger Store will be closed the weeks of February 6th and 13th due to Book Fair and Candygram sales.

PTO News

Even though second semester has just begun, your Solon PTO is already thinking ahead to next year. We are in need of new board members and additional parent support at our monthly meetings...Whatever your special talent might be, we have a spot for you!

The PTO does all kinds of things throughout the school year, not just fundraising. Some of the events and activities that require PTO support include: quarterly popcorn/pretzel days, helping out with snacks at music programs, planning events such as dances, movie nights and skate nights, Teacher Appreciation Week, and helping to represent Solon at Back to School Night.

If you will have a child in kindergarten-5th grade next year, please think about joining the PTO and possibly filling a board position. All parents/guardians are welcome at our meetings which are held in the Media Center on the second Wednesday of every month right after school.

The next meeting is March 8th.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask any current board member or e-mail us at solonrobinsonPTO@gmail.com. We look forward to seeing you in March!

We are hiring!

CPCSC has several open positions throughout the district. Visit cps.k12.in.us/jobs for more information.

Our cafeteria at Solon has positions with immediate start dates. Please call Pam Maloney with any questions. 219-662-6480.

Coffee and Conversations

Join CPCSC superintendent Dr. Terrill for coffee and conversation at the Crown Point Community Library. There is no presentation, just an opportunity to talk about what's happening in the district. Coffee & Convo lasts for one hour.
