From the Principal's Desk
January 24
Greetings FWAFA Family,
Today started the Great Kindness Challenge Week, which is a movement that was created by a non-profit organization to promote kindness in schools. We thought it would be a great way to reinforce FWAFA PROUD, our new motto based on our Core Values, and just give a little bit of extra grace to each other. I heard on NPR this morning that receiving a compliment gives you the same feeling as receiving money. Go figure! :-)
Students were provided with a checklist that has ideas for ways that they can be kind to others and to themselves. We are going to have a “Kindness Cart” periodically visiting classrooms to provide students and teachers with treats.
Mark your calendars for the Thursday, January 27 PTSO's Fashion for $5.00 Day. Join us Friday, January 28 at 5:30 p.m. for a showing of Enchanted on the Green Space sponsored by the Student Council (weather permitting).
Lots of new information to share. See below!
Creatively yours,
Dr. Jackson

What Are Your Plans Next Year?
Open Enrollment Season is Here!
We are currently accepting applications for the 2022-2023 school year! Open Enrollment runs through February 14th. Our data shows that most of our applicants are referred by YOU (because you rock, of course)!
We would love for you to continue spreading the word by inviting other families who might like to start their journey with us to learn more about our school and the admission process. Feel free to save the graphic above and share to social media with a couple lines about why YOU love FWAFA. Be sure to include the link to apply: ArtsAcademics.org/APPLY

A Texas Center for Arts + Academics Signature Performance, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is FWAFA's High School Musical. From the creators of Jesus Christ Superstar, comes one of the most popular musicals of the last 50 years. Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a musical comedy with lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, based on the character of Joseph from the Bible's Book of Genesis.
Joseph -- the favorite son of Jacob -- is blessed with vivid dreams that foretell the future. Sold into slavery by his jealous brothers, Joseph endures a series of adventures which challenge him to his core.
A timeless Old Testament tale, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is set to a multitude of musical genres, spanning from country-western and calypso to bubble-gum pop and rock and roll. This year, the Children's Choir of Texas will join our high school cast to help tell this timeless story!
We are also excited to announce that on Saturday, February 26th we will have an American Sign Language interpreter present to ensure that our friends in the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community are also able to enjoy this amazing FWAFA show!
