Memorial Update
January 22, 2024
It is All About Measurement in Unit 4 of Bridges
Good Morning Memorial Families,
We have been in the middle of such a cold snap the past few days! I am very grateful for heated seats and a heated steering wheel in my car. Hopefully the worst of it is behind us and we will warm up enough to thaw a little over the next week.
We have a lot happening this week at Memorial! I want to highlight four events for all of you!
School Committee Meeting
Tonight at 7pm, three of our fourth graders will be sharing about the fourth grade school newspaper that they have been publishing this year. Navisha Jain, Bradley Lamotte, and Cameron Van Raalten will speak about their experiences, what they loved, and what they learned writing for our school newspaper.
Chorus Concert
Our fourth grade chorus will present their winter concert Tuesday night at 6:30pm in the Memorial cafeteria. We are looking forward to a wonderful performance.
Kindergarten Information Night
If you are the parent of an incoming kindergartener this coming September, you are invited to join Ms. Chuk and Mrs. Bell for an information night on Wednesday night at 6:00pm. We will share a little bit about our kindergarten programming, including an overview of the Spanish Immersion program, and wil give you information about what you need to do to register your child for next year.
Harlem Wizards Game
The Harlem Wizards will be at Nipmuc High School on Saturday, January 26th at 6:30pm to take on the Mendon-Upton Dream Team, featuring several members of the Memorial Elementary School staff. If you are interested in attending, you can get information about tickets at this website.
Have a wonderful week!
Warmly,
Wendy and Lauren

Due to the hectic nature of the late afternoon, we will no longer be allowing parent dismissals from the main office after 2:45pm. If your child has an appointment, please plan to dismiss him/her earlier, or make use of our pick up line at 3:15pm. Thank you for understanding.
