Parenting gifted children brings both joys and challenges. Additionally, parenting gifted children can be a lonely journey. Many parents/caregivers report that they hesitate to share their joys and challenges with others because they fear that they will be viewed as bragging. And yet, the journey is real, and the support is necessary. This double workshop, Parent to Parent: Sharing Your Wisdom, is a safe place to share your story, and to give and receive comfort, advice, support, and resources

College Ready Program offered through Badger Precollege
College Ready @ Badger Precollege- Analytical Skills for College Success Series
October 23, 30 and November 6 , 9am-noon (virtual) $475
The fall 2021 College Ready program is a three day online program for high school
students from across Wisconsin, the nation, and the world. This holistic program provides an all-around college readiness experience for research and a jump start in career exploration to prepare students for life success. You can choose one course from the series: Research and Data Analysis, Writing Your College Essay, and Analytical Reasoning. Each course will help you hone the skills you will need for college success, learn different aspects of college academics, and enable you to use your time in high school to prepare for college life. Course
are taught with Canvas, the same software UW-Madison and countless other Universities use to teach their students.

Social Emotional Needs, resources for parents
An excellent resource for families of gifted students is SENG. Supporting Emotional Needs of Gifted is an organization that provides support through resources, articles, webinars, connections to mental health professionals, parent groups, online support groups and more. Kids who are gifted can often deal with unique issues including perfectionism, underachievement, anxiety, intensities, difficulty connecting to age group peers because of different interests or abilities, concerns with identity or fitting in. SENG offers resources and support to help navigate these concerns.
Another resource for parents is the NAGC- National Association for Gifted Children.
