It’s our last week before Winter Break! We are wrapping up Main Idea with some “You be the Teacher” presentations. We will be having a Socratic Seminar debating the effectiveness of standardized tests, a class party, and a House day to end the second quarter!

This week in math we will be continuing Unit 4: Percentages. This week, Ms. Simon's class will be testing over unit 4. Miss Keith's class will finish up learning about the nitrogen cycle and test after break.

Students are working on objective 3: Colonial America.
Students can compare/contrast the geography of the 3 regions of Colonial America.
Students should be able to locate all 3 regions of Colonial America: New England, Middle, and Southern Colonies. Students will be tested over this objective later this week or next.
Learning Target for the Week:
Students will compare the people who settled in all three regions and their reasons for coming to America. Some students tested this week and the rest will finish next week before break. Ask your child about "Christmas Around the World" project!
