Mooresville Graded Schools
iStation Information
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Your student took the iStation iSIP earlier this month to provide teachers with important information on how to support their students.
ISIP, Istation’s Indicators of Progress, is a computer adaptive assessment system for monthly, or more frequent, benchmark or progress monitoring assessments.
ISIP assesses all critical areas of early reading development for Kindergarten through 3rd grade students. These critical areas include phonemic awareness, letter knowledge, alphabetic decoding, vocabulary, comprehension, spelling and text fluency. ISIP accomplishes this through the administration of student-friendly, short tests that measure a student’s overall reading ability. Click here to learn about the iSIP and all the components.
These on-going assessments will help your child's teacher judge their strengths and weaknesses so they can plan lessons specifically for them.
Please continue reading this smore to learn how you can support your child at home!
Sincerely,
Your MGSD Curriculum Team
