Barbara Bush Elementary | Instruction & Information
April 27, 2020
Mission Statement
Bush Elementary: A nurturing and inclusive community where students become empowered citizens and life-long learners. Every student, every day!
While in the building...
After you get permission to enter the school, please remember these requirements while you are on campus:
- Let Jarod know when you get there and when you leave. Either email or text is fine.
- Enter the building using your ID.
- Disarm/arm the alarm as appropriate.
- Wear a mask when you are not in your own room/office.
- Complete the checklist Cheryl sent out before entering the building. If you cannot meet all criteria on the checklist, do no enter the building.
New Bush Elementary Staff | 2020-2021
We'll share more information about each of these new staff members as the year progresses. But here is a list of who has been recommended for teaching positions at Bush for the 2020-2021 School Year.
- Kindergarten: Jessica Shaw is transferring from David Elementary.
- First Grade: Cynthia Lopez is transferring from Ride Elementary.
- Second Grade: Kelsey Edgar comes to us from Humble ISD.
- Third Grade: Kaley Baum comes to us from, well, us. :-) She will move from a special education aide position to a teaching position in third grade.
- Instructional Coach: Tonya Taylor comes to us from Snyder Elementary.
While Human Resources must finalize all staffing decisions, I wanted to share the news about these recommendations. We will continue to bring in new faces as the paraprofessional hiring process starts in May.
