The Kindergarten Class Celebrated Moms with Muffins for Mom!

Kindergarteners had a great morning celebrating their Moms! They made them handmade flowers and served them Muffins and Milk! Happy Mothers Day to all the Moms who do so much for their children!

THANK YOU, TEACHERS! We Appreciate All of our Vici Teachers for Caring About Kids!

The 6th Grade Visited the State Capitol and Spoke with Our Senator and Representative!

Sixth Grade students recently took a field trip to the state capitol. Students toured the capitol building and learned about the history of the building, how the building functions today, about important Oklahomans, and about the various artwork displayed there. Students observed the House in session and heard debate about an education bill. Students also met with Senator Bryce Marlatt and Representative Mike Sanders. They asked some great questions and even requested their autographs!

Congratulations and Good Luck to These Students Who Have Qualified to Compete at STATE SoftSeven Contest!

Elementary Students READ SO MUCH that they put Mrs. Nelson in a "Sticky Situation"!

Mrs. Nelson challenged Kindergarten through 6th grade students to read at least 750 books in two weeks. Well, not only did they meet that goal of 750 books, they read 926 books! Because they met their school goal, each student who earned AR points during that time also earned "Tickets to Stick It". Over 900 tickets were earned, which translates into 900 pieces of tape used to STICK MRS. NELSON TO THE WALL! The students were certainly successful in "sticking it to her", and she wants to encourage everyone, young or old, to keep reading for enjoyment and knowledge!

The First Year for VES Elementary Academic Team was AWESOME! And So Was Our First Vici Academic Banquet!

This was the very first year for our school to have an elementary academic team, and our students took this opportunity and ran with it! The 5th and 6th Grade team qualified for State and finished in the TOP 8 in the State! The 6th grade members also compteted on the 6th and 7th grade team and gained valuable experience, and became more prepared to assist on the JH Academic Team. Thank you to their dedicated coach, Mrs. Halderman!

The first Vici Academic Banquet was very well attended by families and supporters! The evening started on the "dark side" after electricty was knocked out by storms, but that did not hinder the evening! Thank you to the parents who made dishes for the potluck meal, and for organizing a great evening!
