act 2, scene 2, lines 41-91


lysander and Hermia decide to sleep away from each other for respect they say good night and fall asleep enter puck looking for an Athenian male (Demetrius) but finds lysander and puts the flower in his eyes. then comes Helena and Demetrius in an argument.


MNDll.ii.86 "when thou wakest let love forbid."

-this means when he wakes he will fall in love.

-this scene is important because it shows when the love problem starts.


The theme of AMND is love.

we know this because in the play all the characters are searching for love the whole time.
