Trimester 2 Conferences

The process to schedule a time to meet with your student’s teacher is the same utilizing MyConferenceTime starting today, Wednesday, January 3rd. You have the option of meeting in person or virtually with the link that is provided in the confirmation email you receive after you sign up. Please SAVE the confirmation e-mail you receive. It will be the only communication that contains the link to meet with the teacher virtually. Families can schedule conferences during the regularly scheduled conferences to talk with a teacher if they have questions about registration.
All parent-teacher conferences are scheduled using this website and there are no drop-in conferences. Staff are always available through email for any questions for concerns you may have at any time. If you have any questions, please call 763-506-8402.
8th Grade Welcome
We will be hosting an 8th Grade Welcome along with conferences on Thursday, January 11th starting at 6:00 PM. This will give students a chance to meet our staff and ask any questions about the registration process.

Senior Panoramic
Attention Seniors! We will be taking our Senior Panorama Photo on Monday, January 22nd from 10:15-10:45 AM in the Main Gym. Be on the lookout for an email with the ordering link closer to the photo date.
Frequently Asked Attendance Questions
- I need to pick my student up during the day, what is the process? Please call the Attendance line at least 1-2 hours in advance or send a note with your student the morning of the appointment. (Attendance, Absences, Early Dismal and Late Arrival policy)
- Do I need to come in to pick up my student? No, a parent/guardian does not need to sign the student out. This applies to High School only (Attendance, Absences, Early Dismal and Late Arrival policy)
- Do I need my identification to enter the building during the school day? Yes, all visitors/parents/guardians must scan their identification, typically a driver's license, before entering the building.
- How do I report if my student is going to be absent, will be picked up early, or arriving late? Please call the attendance office at 763-506-8406. (Attendance, Absences, Early Dismal and Late Arrival policy)
- Can I report my student's attendance online? Yes (Directions to report student attendance online)

PSEO Information Session - Thursday, January 11th at 6:30 PM During Conferences
As we approach High School registration for next year, students and parents start to inquire about PSEO (Post Secondary Enrollment Options). This is the opportunity where high school students can take college courses through College PSEO programs while in high school. During this Student/Parent info session we will outline the eligibility requirements, steps and timeline to complete the PSEO application process and important factors to consider when deciding if this is the right option for you/your student. You may also visit our PSEO website to find additional information.

Jefferson Award winners for December - Kenji Nguyen
The Students in Action Multiplying Good Award for Public Service is a prestigious national recognition system honoring community and public volunteerism. Each month we recognize students who have taken effective action, and created a meaningful impact while improving our community and making the world a better place.
For the month of December, we want to recognize and celebrate Kenji Nguyen. Kenji is a dedicated student volunteer, and has volunteered over 100 hours since September! He will be receiving the Gold President's Volunteer Service Award in recognition of his service to our community.
Drop in for Service!
In an effort to bring the spirit of service to Andover High School, Youth Service will be hosting various fun and meaningful service projects during select late start Mondays. Service projects will take place right here at school, and participating students will receive 1 service hour per session. Click here for more details on second-trimester dates, times, and room locations. At the next meeting, we will be making dog toys for the Animal Humane Society.

Volunteers and Judges Needed!
The Anoka-Hennepin School District will hold its Annual STEM Fair at Anoka High School on Saturday, February 10, 2024. Community members are invited to be Volunteers and/or Judges at the Fair. Teachers can earn up to 5 CEU’s! Math or Science experience is not necessary. Training will be provided for all Judges. Above & Beyond Awards Nominations Being Accepted
If you know an Anoka-Hennepin staff member who does amazing work for children, you’re strongly encouraged to nominate them for the Above & Beyond Awards. The Above & Beyond Awards involve students, staff, parents and community members in recognizing and honoring Anoka-Hennepin staff who consistently go that extra mile so students can be successful.
Nominations are being accepted through Monday, Jan. 22, 2024.

The program is a joint effort of the district and the Anoka-Hennepin Educational Foundation (AHEF). The 2024 Above & Beyond Awards ceremony will take place April 3 at the Educational Service Center (ESC).
MCA Individual Score Reports Available to View Online
Starting this school year, the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (MCA) Individual Score Reports for students will be available for families to access online and will no longer be sent through postal mail. The 2023 MCA report is available now for students who took a test during the 2022-23 school year and families can access the document by logging into A-HConnect or viewing it on the ParentVUE mobile app.

District to Host Hiring Event for Non-Teaching Positions January 25
The Anoka-Hennepin School District will host an in-person hiring event for non-teaching positions on Thursday, January 25 from 3:30-6:00 PM at Coon Rapids High School located at 2340 Northdale Blvd. NW. Attendees should park in the parking lot off Raven St. and enter the activities entrance of the school using Door 16.
