THE MOTHERBOARD
The motherboard is the spine of your computer, it is the link between all the different components inside your computer. One of the major functions of a motherboard is to act as the 'hub' to which other computer devise connect. A board can come in many formations to fit different needs and budgets.
The motherboard itself is a printed circuit board the allows the CPU,RAM and all other computer hardware components to communicate with each other.
A motherboard from one manufacture will support a single type of CPU and a few different types of memory. Other peripherals like video cards , hard drives and other components may not be compatible.
HOW DO THINGS CONNECT TO THE MOTHERBOARD?/ PARTS OF THE MOTHERBOARD.
Some of the main parts of the motherboard are, 1 back panel and ports ( Connectors and ports for connecting the computer to external devices such as display ports, audio ports, USB ports, Ethernet ports, PS/2 ports etc ) 2 southbridge (Also known as the Input/Output Controller Hub 'ICH' )
ABOUT ALAN TURING:
Alan Turing was born on 23 June, 1912, in London. His father was in the Indian Civil Service and Turing's parents lived in India until his father's retirement in 1926. Turing and his brother stayed with friends and relatives in England. Turing studied mathematics at Cambridge University, and subsequently taught there, working in the burgeoning world of quantum mechanics. It was at Cambridge that he developed the proof which states that automatic computation cannot solve all mathematical problems. This concept, also known as the Turing machine, is considered the basis for the modern theory of computation.
RAM,
Is a computer storage that lets information be saved and accessed, easy and fast from random locations.
