Helpful Hints with CDL
- Students log in, turn off their camera/mic, and then "disappear" or not engaged with the class or learning (ensure your child knows their schedule for the day, set expectations for appearing for class)
- Students click on "submit" for assignments but they are blank (dig deeper for work completion)
- If you would like to change your child's name on their Google login screen from their legal name, please contact your teacher. We can help!
Return to School Planning--FYI
Governor Brown released updated health metrics and guidance for students returning to in-person learning on Friday, Oct. 30. HSD is reviewing this new information, evaluating what it will mean for our district, and putting together a plan for the coming weeks. On Monday, Nov. 9, the School Board will take action on the District’s proposal, and plan details will be shared with families on Nov. 10. For additional information, please see the 2020-21 School Year page of the HSD website.
Ready Schools, Safe Learners (RSSL) Press Release

Attendance and Absences
Email: pateb@hsd.k12.or.us or cardenan@hsd.k12.or.us
Student attendance is marked by teachers daily as: Synchronous or Asynchronous or blank if we cannot verify attendance. District calls go out by 6 pm if your child's attendance is not verified.
Self-Serve Materials Pick-up
Your teacher may have arranged a pick-up, too. Carts will roll out between 12 pm-6 pm daily if there are items to pick up. Walk to the South entrance--by the play structure and cafeteria entrance doors, not Birch Ave.

If you are struggling to find a close meal stop, please don’t hesitate to reach out and call Transportation at 503-844-1123.
For families living in the “walk zone”, there are meal stops available to them. They do not need to walk out of their neighborhood or to the schools to pick up meals.
