Social Studies: 6th graders finished their study of the Cold War and related conflicts this week with a test on Thursday/Friday, May 5-6. Next week, we will start our study of the Civil Rights Movement. Some students have chosen to participate in a History through Film Academy Time. We are currently watching the 1982 period biographical film based on the life of Mahatma Gandhi, the leader of the nonviolent, non-cooperative Indian independence movement against the British Raj during the 20th century.

As we bring this year to a close, we will do it together learning the difference between Experimental and theoretical probability. Finally, closing out the year with measures of central tendency and how to interpret and create data displays based on the information and data. Thank you all for the opportunity to watch your children grow in Math. Good Luck!!!

Students should also be wrapping up the Career Prep course on Edgenuity within the next week before computers are taken up. I will put their final course grade in PowerSchool within the next few weeks so that parents can decide if they want to do the paperwork to have the course on their students high school transcript.
